002MY – Borneo Sape Player 2

January 20, 2011

Another Borneo Sape player outside the ‘Orang Ulu Longhouse’ at the Sarawak Cultural Village near Kuching, Malaysia.  This was recorded in one of the region’s larger tourist destinations (think any ‘folk village’ you’ve ever visited), so there were a lot of people around, talking and fooling with the other instruments.  It’s still a beautiful sound, though, and he WAS playing through a Peavy amp. (002MY – Folk Village Sape)

Recorded 12/26/10, 3:29PM (local time)
